A simple web application to help people judge their ring size without needing to print anything. Built in under two hours.
While shopping for rings online, I found there was no easy way to measure my finger's ring size.
Every service I could find required me to download and print a PDF, which often results in invalid results if the user does not uncheck Acrobat Reader's "Scale to fit" box. Most only provided the size in one measurement, though there exist many standards internationally.
I quickly built a service that allowed me to accurately measure my finger without the need to print anything out.
As there is no way for a website to accurately know the computer monitor's physical size, the user is asked to hold a credit card up to the screen for calibration purposes. The ring size is then displayed in ALL standard units.
